Public visibility and licence scope are separate checks
HELL GRIND and ONEIRIC display OWL-P-NL-1.0 on their project pages. Public access alone does not license every visible asset. The applicable Notice identifies the release and creator; covered materials exclude designated assets and likenesses. We reviewed the published licence text but did not individually audit every project attachment or exclusion schedule. That limitation means the scope still needs checking for each intended input; it does not mean the publisher has failed to release an exclusion list.
What the operative terms distinguish
Articles 2 and 3 permit commercial uses within the grant while requiring restricted generation using licensed materials to occur on the Higgsfield platform. Excluded likenesses cannot be reconstructed or depicted. External original work and specified technical processing have separate conditions. Finished permitted work may be distributed outside the platform. Attribution, notice retention and modification disclosure remain required; repackaging released materials as a standalone asset or prompt pack is restricted. Article 5 makes third-party clearance the users responsibility. These conditions do not amount to unrestricted stock licensing.
Build an independent production example
A useful learning exercise is to design your own character and location, write a fresh asset description, and keep a revision record. For example, an original courier story can have dry and wet costume states with separately approved references. Copy the organizational idea into your own checklist without importing released images, character likenesses or prompt strings. Keep a provenance note distinguishing an independently created input from an input taken from a release. This example illustrates a workflow; it does not certify rights in any particular material.
A proposed asset-by-asset reuse checklist
Before a reuse decision, record the project URL, creator and Notice; identify the exact file or prompt you intend to use; check exclusions and mixed content; record where generation will happen; distinguish technical finishing from creation of new imagery; preserve attribution and notices; and check third-party rights for the intended distribution. If an entry remains unclear, leave that asset unapproved. Revisit the record when a different source, purpose or platform enters the workflow. The checklist is an editorial aid, not a completed legal clearance or a guarantee against claims.
Decide what you need from an open production release
If your goal is learning organization, begin with independently designed assets and your own written checklist. If your goal is remixing a particular release, read its actual Notice, exclusions and complete operative licence before choosing inputs. Our covers are original abstract illustrations rather than reused film frames. The review date is 2 October 2026; exact source publication dates and a complete file inventory were not verified.
